Missing Children SA was established in March 2007 in response to the kidnapping and brutal murders of Sheldean Human (7) of Pretoria and Anestacia Wiese (12) of Mitchell’s Plain, to assist and support families finding themselves in similar tragic situations. The first 24 hours after a child goes missing, is the most crucial and our organisation exists to create awareness and to react immediately, when a child is reported missing. Missing Children SA assists the South African Police Service in finding children and creating a national awareness. Citizens of South Africa do not realise the reality of child abduction and run-aways and as an organisation we intend to change this point of view.

Mission Armenia was founded in Yerevan, Armenia in 1993, and is one of Armenia's largest and most successful non-governmental humanitarian agencies. The organisation has brought financial, emotional, physical and medical assistance - and spiritual support and hope - to refugees from Azerbaijan and Karabagh. Mission Armenia also provides regular home care and support for over 6,000 elderly people throughout Armenia. The work of Mission Armenia is increasingly focused on development programs through community building and volunteerism. Mission Armenia has a staff of 450 social workers, doctors, nurses and other specialists. Mission Armenia is propelled by Christian values at the core of which is faith, hope and love.

Mission Australia is an empowering and compassionate community service organisation. We have been helping to transform the lives of Australians in need for almost 150 years. Arising historically from various City Missions, including Sydney City Mission, our founding purpose is to meet human need and to give expression to the love of God. With more than 450 services across metropolitan, rural and regional Australia - in every state and territory - we assist more than 300,000 people each year.

Mission Australia is a Christian community service organisation that has been transforming the lives of Australians in need for more than 150 years. Through ourr 550 community and employment services assist more than 300,000 Australians by providing a hand up, a way forward and hope for the future. Our foundations stretch back to 1859 when the Brisbane Town and Country Mission began caring for the colonial poor. Three years later, Benjamin Short set up the Sydney City Mission – “a purely unsectarian mission”. Then in 1867 the Adelaide City Mission (later Mission SA) came into being.

Mission Direct is an interdenominational charity that enables teams of volunteers from the UK to show God’s love in practical ways by participating in local projects that benefit children, families and communities in some of the poorest countries of the world. We enable thousands of individuals and families to make a direct personal impact on the worlds poorest communities to help them escape physical and spiritual poverty.

Mission East was founded in 1991 by Rene Hartzner and his son Dr. Kim Hartzner. Rene had travelled extensively in Eastern Europe under Communist rule and had seen at first hand the difficult conditions under which some people – especially Christians – were living. Mission East is a Danish international non-governmental relief and development organisation which works in response to community needs, primarily in the areas of public health, livelihoods improvement, food security and disaster risk management. Mission East has programmes running in Armenia, Afghanistan, Tajikistan, Romania and Bulgaria. Projects are implemented directly by Mission East and with local partners.

Since it was created in 1991 in Monaco, Mission Enfance chose to be "a field operator" specialized in educational help and assistance to children in need. Mission Enfance acts in an apolitical and non confessional way for the sole good of the children it helps or the victims it meets. We believe that education is a step towards peace and development. This action is part of the help required to fulfil the article 28 of the convention relative to the Child's Rights promulgated by the United Nations.

During 2010, Mission Healthcare Foundation will celebrate two milestones. The Foundation, founded in 1985, will reach its silver anniversary (25 years) and will also cross the $100 million mark in the funds it has raised on behalf of Mission Hospital. During the past decades the work of Mission Foundation in helping to provide start-up funding, capital funding and sustaining funds for a wide variety of hospital projects and programs has helped Mission Hospital become a national model for a "high quality-low cost" hospital. Philanthropic gifts and grants totaling well over $90 million have helped Mission win numerous awards for its quality care and creative services that have brought it a national reputation.

Mission of Mercy is a child sponsorship organization helping to meet the physical and spiritual needs of children in poverty-stricken areas of the world. Through our ministry programs, children receive food, education, medical aid and hope in Jesus Christ.

Mission Together is a project of the Holy Childhood, one of the Pontifical Mission Societies, with a tradition of more than 160 years. Mission Together supports both the spiritual and physical wellbeing of children. Through the financial contributions of children it carries out educational, medical and welfare projects in poor areas. Mission Together does a great deal of humanitarian work but its purpose is more than humanitarian aid or development, it encourages children to collect money for pastoral, educational, medical and humanitarian projects in poor areas in 159 countries.

In 1978, Jimmy and Janet Dorrell bought a deteriorating house in the middle of a blighted neighorhood in North Waco. Based on their understanding of incarnational ministry, they sensed their vocational call was to live among the poor and help bring “good news” through relationships and empowerment opportunities. The couple began offering children’s and teen clubs each week in their home, meeting neighbors, and providing assistance to those struggling in the community. As the ministry grows, community organizing and coalition building has become the primary strategy in the imporverished neighborhoods of the community. Residents of changing neighborhoods are “re-neighboring” through block parties, community empowerment meetings, leadership development, and coalition building. Through its entire history, Mission Waco staff and volunteers have worked hard to balance “hands-on” relationships with the poor, local churches, and the community.

Founded in 1859, the Missouri Botanical Garden is the nation's oldest botanical garden in continuous operation and a National Historic Landmark. The Garden is a center for botanical research and science education, as well as an oasis in the city of St. Louis. The Garden offers 79 acres of beautiful horticultural display, including a 14-acre Japanese strolling garden, Henry Shaw's original 1850 estate home, and one of the world's largest collections of rare and endangered orchids. The year 2009 marks the Garden's sesquicentennial anniversary. For over 150 years, the Garden has been an oasis in the city, a place of beauty and family fun–and also a center for education, science, and conservation. The Missouri Botanical Garden is a member of the Metropolitain Zoological Park and Museum District.

The Missouri History Museum is committed to fostering a strong and healthy community while facilitating experiences that encourage people to consider the perspective of others.

MiST provide immediate medical assistance to victims of natural and man-made disasters, assist in the medical education and training of people trapped in humanitarian and economic crises, and to help create sustainable health facilities for the well-being of all, where they are most needed. Founded in Manchester, UK, in October 2005, in response to the South Asian earthquake. MiST is currently active in Palestine (Gaza and the West Bank), Sudan, India and Greece, with offices in Uk and Palestine.

Mithra Foundation, is a grassroot non governmental organisation based in Trichy district of Tamil Nadu. Mithra works within Tiruchirappali District in Tamil Nadu. With the emergence of HIV/AIDS in this area, the wider District is particularly vulnerable to the spread of HIV/AIDS. Similarly, due to its close proximity to Trichy city as a major market, pilgrim and tourist centre, with its easy access by road, rail and air links, there is a need to contain and support HIV/AIDS issues in the area so that HIV/AIDS does not spread beyond its current borders. Villagers currently living with HIV/AIDS in the target area live below the poverty line (on less than 50p per day), are mostly illiterate, have intermittent or no access to paid employment and own little or no land of their own. Mithra Foundation’s Care and Support Scheme holds monthly meetings with villagers and Self-Help Groups (SHGs) where participants express their personal health problems and community grievances which has drawn attention to the socio-economic and informational needs required to be addressed by Mithra. Mithra team members visit ART centres in Trichy and gather information from HIV+ve individuals seeking ART therapy.Government sponsored Health Camps have also helped villagers identify their health problems and the needs to be addressed. In addition Mithra pays special attention to children both infected and affected by HIV who face stigma and discrimination in schools they study in or from their extended families and immediate community that they live in.

Mkombozi (meaning "liberator, emancipator" in Swahili) supports Tanzania's children and youth, including those at risk of vulnerability, through housing, education, research, advocacy, and outreach. Initially established in 1997 as a live-in residential center and safe haven for children living on the streets, Mkombozi has expanded its vision over the years. In addition to working with children already living/working on the streets, Mkombozi works to end the abuse and neglect of children, to ensure that children's rights are recognised, and to identify opportunities for intervention before a child migrates to the street. Today, Mkombozi is one of the leading child-focused agencies in northern Tanzania, working with over 1,000 children and families a year in Kilimanjaro and Arusha Regions. Mkombozi tackles the complex issues surrounding child vulnerability with a holistic and sustainable approach.

More than a monument to a great humanitarian, the National Memorial honoring Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. will be a place for visitors from all over the world to be energized by its extraordinary power.

We are a not-for-profit Incorporated Society, governed by a Committee of parents and staff, and all our teachers have qualifications and experience in Early Childhood Education. Our programme planning focuses on each child's interests, strengths and abilities, enabling us to meet the needs, reflect the interests and facilitate the learning and development of the child. We provide a free play, self choice programme that extends the children's learning and development.
