Sadly, 140 million children in this world are orphaned – living without parents in overburdened orphanages or worse on the streets. Even for those you might count as lucky enough to be in some type of foster care, this is usually just temporary. Adoption is fundamentally about giving a child the dignity and love they deserve. Through local chapters, dedicated Giving Circles and individual donations, The Gift of Adoption Fund is making an impact. Each year we hear from over 600 hopeful parents who are qualified to adopt but need the last bit of financial resources required to complete an adoption. Since its inception, The Gift of Adoption Fund has granted over $1,900,000 to help change the lives of more than 650 children in need of families.

Gift of the Givers Foundation has gained its reputation from the provision of disaster response relief and rehabilitation to victims around the world. But locally, our efforts are far-reaching – we run a total of 22 additional projects in South Africa. Our strategy in the provision of social services follows a three-pronged approach – first, as disaster response relief, secondly, as once-off temporary projects, such as the donation to ultrasound machine to GF Jooste Hospital (Cape Town, South Africa), and thirdly, as long-term projects. The Gill Foundation arose out of a battle for equality. Girls' Power Initiative (GPI) was formed in 1993 by Bene Madunagu and Grace Osakue to intervene in the socialisation of girls for the realisation of a future where women are visible and valued actors in society. GPI currently has centres in Edo, Delta, Cross River and Akwa Ibom States. GPI empowerment program is aimed at making girls active participants in social action for the general good.

GISDA is a registered charity and a company limited by guarantee. The company was founded in 1985 by a group of volunteers in the Caernarfon area in order to respond to the growing problem of youth homelessness in the town during the early 80’s and the prejudices they faced when seeking help and support. In 1989, in partnership with Cymdeithas Tai Eryri, we opened our first hostel in Caernarfon for 8 young people. GISDA currently employs over 30 members of staff and offers supported accommodation 56 young people across Gwynedd and offers much more than a roof over their head. Over the years the services have expanded and developed and today include counseling, personal advisor service and education.

Founded in 1949 by the Kibbutz Artzi Movement, a federation of 83 kibbutzim throughout Israel, Givat Haviva Educational Foundation (GHEF) in New York City is the American arm representing and supporting Givat Haviva Institute. The Foundation comprises a community of supporters and activists who work to increase awareness of Givat Haviva Institute's role in advancing Jewish-Arab relations in Israel. Givat Haviva conducts a broad range of formal and informal programs that resist all forms of racism and discrimination, bridge the gaps in the fields of Jewish-Arab relations and promote greater understanding between different groups in Israeli society.

Give a Kid a Backpack Foundation started as a small effort to bring awareness about children in underdeveloped nations living and education conditions. The idea started in 2003 and became a non-profit organization by 2004. Give a Kid a Backpack is one way to make a difference in a young person's education. Since our inception, over 39,000 children have received a backpack filled with school supplies from the Give a Kid a Backpack. These backpacks are a symbol of hope and encouragement to continue going to school. Education is a proven intervention for improving the lives of all people, including children.

Giving Back is a Hawaii non-profit agency committed to fostering intergenerational relationships through mentoring, enhancing the individual lives of both the giver and receiver, while creating vibrant and vital opportunities for active elder volunteers (age 50+) to 'give back' to benefit their neighborhoods and communities. We offer learning opportunities that include integrated movements, vision training, confidence and balance exercise skills in our goal of preventing injuries from falls.

Giving Children Hope is privileged to work with diverse individuals and communities both locally and around the world, supplying projects that address and focus on the needs of children and serve the poor. GCHope works to promote family sustainability, economic independence, and self-sufficiency so that children may grow in stable environments. GCHope also plays a role in the development and rehabilitation of under resourced clinics, hospitals, and orphanages. Our supplies mobilize organizations so that they can focus on implementation; this empowers communities to reach those caught in hopelessness and work towards self-sustainability.

Givlife was established in 2008 in Kent Street Cannington, by Reverend Ray Gullaci and five members of the Hope City Church community. Since the church's inception in 1995, it has been providing support to helpless and homeless people. The increase in the number of people in distress instigated the establishment of Givlife to provide for this need in the community. We provide mechanisms and facilities that will rehabilitate through education, mentoring and life improvement programs.

Founded in 1992 by Rabbi Eliezer Avtzon and a dedicated group of individuals, GJARN is a non-profit organization originally created to provide emergency relief to the collapsed Jewish communities of the Former Soviet Union. While it continues to provide vital services there, the bulk of its programs and energies today are in providing for the material welfare of needy Jews in Israel, primarily "the working poor", through its programs of The FOOD CARD and Prescriptions for Life. GJARN also runs urgently needed programs in New York.

Many young children, some as young as 3 or 4 years old, in Mombasa, Kenya, are so poor they live on the streets. Life for them is a bleak struggle for survival, where drugs, alcohol and crime are often the only means of escape. They desperately need help.'Glad's House' is a young charity that aims to help these street children return to a 'normal' way of life. When we have raised sufficient funds we will be establishing Glad’s House, our own refuge in Mombasa.

It is a national, not-for-profit registered charity dedicated to providing educational services to raise awareness about the serious and common eye disease glaucoma; to support glaucoma sufferers and to raise fund for research. We increase community awareness of glaucoma as a potentially blinding disease and thus the need for regular eye checks, and provide information and support for glaucoma patients and their families, reinforcing advice and explanations given by their eye practitioner, and hopefully improving compliance with therapy.

The Glaucoma Research Foundation is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt national nonprofit. We seek out new approaches to glaucoma research, and we follow the funding through to results. Our continuing commitment has led to important and promising insights.Glaucoma is a serious vision disease and an "unseen" one. The public knows little about it. Many people with the disease are symptom-free until it is quite advanced. Then it's too late because loss of vision due to glaucoma is irreversible.

Gleaning For The World seeks to provide life-saving support to communities in critical need throughout the world by applying a powerful concept that we call “gleaning.” We provide surplus medical and essential supplies to humanitarian projects worldwide. Gleaning For The World provides supplies to humanitarian and mission organizations to help people in the greatest need, regardless of country of origin, race, gender, religion or other factors. No form of discrimination is permitted.
