The mission of the Kilimanjaro Blind Trust is to enhance the lives of blind children in East Africa by giving them to tools they need to succeed in the classroom and thereby enabling them to become independent and integral members of their society.

The KBT improves the standard of living for children in Tanzania, Uganda, and Kenya through projects aimed entirely at raising their education levels. By increasing education rates and standards, our hope is that more blind children will eventually achieve higher job placement rates and improve their ability to integrate, advocate, and achieve self-sufficiency.
