Sustainable Initiatives Fund

Sustainable Initiatives Fund is a Canterbury-based publicly funded charitable trust that provides vital financial assistance to innovative waste minimisation projects meeting our criteria. We fund innovative research-based recycling, waste prevention and waste minimisation projects that will divert waste from Canterbury landfills and from the environment. Our goal is for these projects and the technologies involved to become commercially viable. SIFT takes a proactive approach to funding projects by identifying key areas that are wasteful for industry or where recycling is not possible (e.g. electronic waste) and targeting them for project funding.
