Elizabeth Finn Care has been helping people overcome the worst effects of poverty for over a century. We're here to support people who were once self-sufficient, but who, through no fault of their own, find themselves in need of help. We help people who have fallen below the poverty line. We help ordinary people who have been overcome by circumstances, such as family breakdown, redundancy, injury, physical or mental illness. We help nurses, teachers, farmers, solicitors, accountants, and people from the armed services. We also help those who find themselves struggling to survive in retirement or who are unable to return to work, due to a long term disability or sickness, to have as normal a life as possible. We provide care and individual attention through contact with our well-trained, understanding and experienced caseworkers and volunteer visitors. This enables our beneficiaries – who may also lack supportive family or social networks – to feel valued and cared for once again.
