Wildlife Habitat Canada is a national, non-profit, charitable conservation organization established in 1984 by Environment Canada, provincial wildlife agencies and conservation organizations. Wildlife Habitat Canada envisions a future where Canadians share a conservation ethic that recognizes the fundamental importance of wildlife habitats that are abundant, rich and support biodiversity. Since 1985, Wildlife Habitat Canada has provided grants of close to $34 million to hundreds of habitat conservation projects across the full range of Canadian landscapes and seascapes, as well as all provinces and territories, through its granting program. We have also been an important catalyst of many groundbreaking habitat conservation initiatives, such as Carolinian Canada, and the North American Waterfowl Management Plan.
