Young Concert Artists Trust was set up in 1984 to identify, nurture and promote outstanding young classical soloists and chamber ensembles at the outset of their professional careers. The original model was based on the Young Concert Artists organisation in New York. As a classical musicians agency YCAT liaises with event promoters in the UK and abroad providing performance opportunities and engagements for its artists. As classical event promoters the Young Concert Artists Trust presents concerts to showcase its artists, including concerts in London as part of the YCAT Wigmore Lunchtime Series, Southbank Purcell Room Presentation Concerts and performances in Manchester at the Bridgewater Hall. In addition to its services to young musicians at the beginning of their professional careers, YCAT has, since 1994, in a unique arrangement with the BBC, been advising the five finalists of the BBC Young Musician Competition. Several of these musicians have gone on to audition to become YCAT artists.When selected, the artist will receive a full artist management service from YCAT for a minimum of three years, after which it is hoped that the artist can then move on to commercial international representation.

Youth Off The Streets is a community organisation working for young people who are chronically homeless, drug dependent and recovering from abuse. We support these young people as they work to turn their lives around and overcome immense personal traumas such as neglect and physical, psychological and emotional abuse. We provide crisis care for young people still living on the streets with our food van, youth refuge and outreach programs. We also operate an innovative drug and alcohol program specifically designed for young people. Our accredited independent high schools in Surry Hills, the Southern Highlands and Merrylands, provide flexible educational opportunities and support for young people living on the streets or who are unable to attend mainstream high schools. Many of these young people go on to successfully achieve their School Certificate and, in increasing numbers, their Higher School Certificate.
