SHAREAfrica
Animals/Wildlife
SHAREAfrica is a nondenominational Christian organisation focused on improving the livelihoods of impoverished communities in Sub Saharan Africa. Caring and sharing are key elements of sustainable development. SHAREAfrica crosses cultures, generations, nationalities and applies to personal and collective wealth as well as to natural resources. The values of brotherly love are not just confined to family or community but to the whole of mankind. These principles lie at the heart of Christian ethics and at the heart of our organisation. Our ultimate aim is to develop economic and spiritual growth by equipping people to produce and trade commodities while at the same time upholding a Christian work ethic that is recognized and respected within the community. This will provide a crucial source of income through national and foreign partnerships resulting in sustained growth.

Shark Foundation Switzerland
Animals/Wildlife
The Shark Foundation has been committed to the protection and research of sharks since 1997 and sees itself as the sharks' lobby. Without the ecologically important control mechanism exercised by sharks, our oceans would be in danger. Help us to protect these fascinating "hunted hunters". The Shark Foundation was established to actively protect and research endangered shark species and preserve their natural habitats.

Sharks Foundation
Community/Family
The San Jose Sharks are as deeply involved with the neighborhood we live in as we are with the game that we play. As role models, we feel responsible to give back to the community that so strongly supports us. To this end, the Sharks Foundation was created in 1994 in an effort to increase our organizational impact on Santa Clara County. With the help of Sharks players, coaches and staff, the Sharks Foundation invests in the community with the hope of enhancing the lives of our youth. The Sharks Foundation supplies emergency aid when appropriate, executes unique and relevant programming, supports the advancement of youth hockey and provides financial support and resources to organizations that enrich the lives of those in need.

Shelby Humane Society
Animals/Wildlife
Shelby Humane Society cares for homeless, abused and neglected animals from Shelby County, Alabama. Each year, approximately 7,000 animals receive shelter and care within our facility. Because we are a nonprofit organization, Shelby Humane Society relies on individual donor support, fundraisers, special events and corporate sponsorships. In addition to the thousands of owner-surrendered animals we take in each year, we also provide medical attention and a safe-house to abused and neglected animals that come into our shelter via local Animal Services. Many of these animals require expensive medical care and constant nurturing.
Shelter
Community/Family
Shelter tackles the root causes of bad housing by lobbying government and local authorities for new laws and policies, and more investment, to improve the lives of homeless and badly housed people. Our influential campaigns bring aspects of bad housing to the attention of the media and the public, who help us fight for solutions. As a leading expert on housing in Britain, we develop practical solutions to address the housing crisis. We also work in conjunction with the housing sector to promote good practice, publish reports, and deliver professional training.
Shelter For Life International
Humanitarian Aid
When we first began to help refugees, SFL's main concern was to help them find safe shelter. We did not fully understand or appreciate the critical role shelter plays in creating or restoring a sense of dignity, security, and hope for the future. Our commitment to "shelter the poor wanderer" remains the essential focus of our programs; however, we have expanded our programs to incorporate comprehensive, grassroots projects that enable beneficiaries to rebuild not only homes but entire communities in order to fully restore their lives.
Shelter Network
Humanitarian Aid
Shelter Network was founded in 1987 to provide a comprehensive and coordinated network of housing and social services for the homeless residents of the San Francisco Peninsula. Initiated by a broad-based community response to the plight of homeless families and single adults, Shelter Network is a model of community involvement. Since the beginning, the community's residents, businesses, local government organizations and religious communities have contributed their talent, time, and financial support to Shelter Network.
Shelterbox
Humanitarian Aid
We respond instantly to natural and manmade disasters by delivering boxes of aid to those who are most in need. Each box supplies an extended family of up to 10 people with a tent and lifesaving equipment to use while they are displaced or homeless. The contents are tailored depending on the nature and location of the disaster, with great care taken sourcing every item to ensure it is robust enough to be of lasting value. The cost of a box is £490, including delivery direct to those who need it. Each box bears its own unique number so as a donor you can track your box all the way to its recipient country via the website. Highly trained ShelterBox Response Teams distribute boxes on the ground, working closely with local organisations, international aid agencies and Rotary clubs worldwide. Since its inception in 2000, ShelterBox has firmly established itself at the forefront of international disaster relief, providing emergency shelter for the people who need it most on every continent.

SHINE for Kids
Children/Education
Each year 1,800 public school children in need come to Stewart House from many parts of NSW and the ACT. During their stay, children are provided with optometric, dental and medical treatment as well as emotional support. This is balanced with health and educational programs and out of school activities to boost their self-esteem and to promote a healthier lifestyle. Children in the care of Stewart House attend a specific purpose school onsite for 8 days of their 12-day stay. The NSW Department of Education and Training provides infrastructure and staffing support for this school. All others costs associated with the childrens' stay are met from charitable donations. Stewart House needs your support to ensure we can continue to provide important services to children.
Shipley School
Children/Education
Shipley has a long tradition of preparing students for college and for full participation in the world. We also have a long tradition of supporting diversity and of encouraging each student's development as an individual. Committed to becoming the best school possible, we are driven by the question: What is best for the students? Well before the term "the whole child" was coined, the School's faculty and staff made it their business to understand the intellectual, physical, spiritual, and emotional growth and needs of each student. They still do. Another important Shipley tradition is service learning. Encouraging our students in "compassionate participation in the world" is as fundamental to our mission as the pursuit of excellence. Likewise, character education is an integral part of our curriculum. We want our students to be good people as well as good students, athletes, artists, actors – wherever their talents and interests lie.

Most importantly, Shoes That Fit is helping kids improve their self-esteem and fit in at school by eliminating one of poverty's most visible and debilitating marks.
