The GMF/GAC is a non- for- profit charitable organization active in Ol ari Nyiro, West Laikipia, Northern Kenya. The GMF/GAC promotes coexistence of people and nature in Africa through harmonizing the protection and the creative sustainable and ecological utilization of the natural resources. The GMF aims to make of Ol ari Nyiro an example of this conservation principle and a monument to nature. In addition to Environmental protection, Antipoaching, Biodiversity, Wildlife, Educational, Cultural and Artistic projects, the GMF/GAC is active in reconciliation, peace and sport gatherings, and poverty alleviation through jobs, and public health care, and has built and equipped a model local clinic and health centre, schools and laboratories, constructed/ donated roads, water reservoirs, offices, solar systems and posho mills for the neighbours, and scholarships to secondary school.

Galop has provided over 25 years of advice, support, research and lobbying around the issues of LGBT policing. Reflecting back on this history proves an inspiration in how far the gay communities (and the police) have come since the early days of intimidation and fear. Galop continues to lead the way, most notably launching a ground-breaking project providing the only specialist LGBT sexual abuse support in the country and publishing a landmark report increasing understanding of unreported LGBT hate crime and of services available to victims of these crimes.

Galway Hospice Foundation is a voluntary organisation. It was established in 1986 when a group of local doctors and nurses came together with a view to developing hospice services for the people of Galway city and county, as no such services existed there at the time. While the majority of patients cared for by the Galway Hospice team express the wish to remain at home, and with the support of the Home Care Service are able to do so, there are patients who, for a variety of reasons, may not.

The Galway One World Centre is an education centre working towards raising awareness and changing attitudes of people in Ireland regarding global development and justice issues. The Galway One World Centre (GOWC) was formed in 1992 as a voluntary organisation. A constitution was agreed and a Management Committee was elected. GOWC's aim is to empower people through education, direct action, networking, outreach and provision of resources to create a world where all people have equality of rights, opportunities and respect. GOWC's definition of development education is "a participatory, empowering and stimulating process that aims to expand the analysis of power, justice and equality that operates at both the local and global levels to challenge injustice and inspire solidarity actions".

Established in 1979, Galway Simon has since developed a continuum of services to best facilitate the most vulnerable people in our society today. We currently provide accommodation to over 100 women and men throughout Galway City. We are constantly striving to put an end to long term homelessness, to support those experiencing homelessness, and to raise awareness of the issues and problems in our society relating to homelessness.

Gambia Media Support was founded in 2006 by a group of Danish journalists, photographers and other media professionals. The organisation’s work is financed by donations, gifts and membership fees as well as by income from the association’s activities. Gambia Media Support activities are professional and organisational capacity building with the Gambian Counterpart, GPU, as well as collegial sparring, training and counselling with Gambia media professionals. The association is independent of political, religious and economical interests, and has a democratic view of the role of the press in society. The association bases its activities on the professional and ethical standards for good press ethics that are widely acknowledged in the international media community.

GamCare is the leading provider of information, advice, support and free counselling for the prevention and treatment of problem gambling. GamCare takes a non-judgemental approach to gambling. We do not wish to restrict the choices or opportunities for anyone to operate or engage in gambling opportunities that are available legally and operated responsibly. We develop strategies that will improve the understanding of the social impact of gambling, promote a responsible approach to gambling, and address the needs of those adversely affected by a gambling dependency.

The Game & Wildlife Conservation Trust is the leading UK charity conducting scientific research to enhance the British countryside for public benefit. For over 75 years we have been researching and developing game and wildlife management techniques. We provide training and advice to farmers, gamekeepers and land managers on how best to improve the biodiversity of the countryside.

A shared concern for the rapidly diminishing flora of the Southern Cape brought together a group comprising members of several environmental NGO's. They represented organisations such as the Garden Route Branch of the Botanical Society, the Southern Cape Herbarium and the Wildlife and Environment Society. They were determined to raise public awareness of the problem of Southern Cape floral destruction as well as implement remedial action. The Garden Route Botanical Garden is located in George, the heart of the Garden Route and has become a conservation and environmental education hub for the Southern Cape of South Africa. The Cape Floral Kingdom is one of the richest, smallest and most threatened floral kingdoms on Earth. The Garden Route Botanical Garden therefore, has a vital role to play nationally and globally in the conservation and study of what is arguably proving to be a rich diversity of plant life in this area.

The Garvan Institute of Medical Research is a world leader in biomedical research, pioneering study into some of the most widespread diseases affecting our community today. Research at Garvan is focused on understanding the role of genes in health and disease as the basis for developing future cures. For over 45 years, significant breakthroughs have been achieved by Garvan scientists in the understanding and treatment of diseases.

Gay Men's Health Crisis (GMHC) is a not-for-profit, volunteer-supported and community-based organization committed to national leadership in the fight against AIDS. We provide prevention and care services to more than 15,000 men, women and families that are living with, or affected by, HIV/AIDS in New York City, and advocate for scientific, evidence-based public health solutions for hundreds of thousands worldwide.

Gayle Mill is a registered charity which receives no revenue grants. We must make our own way in the world but we need the support of as many people as possible, whether they are local residents, visitors or well-wishers from afar. Gayle Mill tells a unique story of survival against all the odds, as it reinvented itself time and time again and was rescued from total dereliction. Originally established to process raw cotton, it was converted to a mechanised saw mill in 1879. While visiting the Mill it is possible to gain a unique insight into the workings of a woodworking mill that served the local community for over a century, experience the atmosphere of the historic sawmill as the water-powered turbines spin to life, and discover 230 years of industrial and social heritage.

Serving others with ocean-going ships began in 1970 with the purchase of the original Logos. Since then the ships (Logos, Doulos, Logos II and now Logos Hope) have visited 500 different ports in 160 countries and territories and welcomed 40 million visitors on board. Teams from the ship go into surrounding areas to supply aid and community care. In each port, the ship’s crew partners with local community groups to bring hope and show love to people whatever their circumstance, culture or background. Volunteers from over 40 countries serve on board the ships. They are mostly young people who have chosen to dedicate two years of their lives to be on board, learning to live and work together, and serving the communities in the ports visited.

The Geelong Animal Welfare Society commenced operations on 17th April, 1956 following a meeting called by Mrs V Cole and the Late Mrs Elsa Williams. A group of concerned animal lovers in Geelong saw a great need to improve the welfare of lost and unwanted animals in the region. We have first class boarding facilities for dogs and cats. The revenue raised from our boarding section is used to maintain our animal welfare services. We conduct a 24 hour, 7 days a week ambulance service for lost and injured dogs and cats. We prevent cruelty to any living creature, and encourage kindness to animals and we rescue animals from the perils of the streets.

We develop the capacity of civil society organizations in India and South Africa to plan, implement and evaluate organizational change projects that improve the lives of women. Recently, Gender at Work completed a program in partnership with Oxfam Canada in the Horn of Africa, where we worked with six diverse organizations from Sudan, Ethiopia and Somaliland. Our approach is collaborative, dialogic, non-prescriptive and evolutionary and holistic. To support our approach we use an action-learning process, which provides facilitated, structured reflection that enables our organizational partners to learn as they do: to set goals for their change projects, to expect those goals to change and for the projects to get refined throughout the development and implementation, with a view to creating the best outcomes for the organization and the community it serves.

The Gender Based Violence -GBV- Prevention Network is a dynamic group of activists and practitioners committed to preventing gender- based violence in the Horn, East and Southern Africa. We are over 220 members strong – coming from 24 different countries – all of us committed to and working toward a world free of gender-based violence. We come from small, rural, community-based organizations, national organizations, international organizations, bi-laterals, foundations, government institutions, universities and the UN. The GBV Prevention Network is a vibrant space for innovation, expertise, experience sharing and exchange on GBV prevention. We want to provide member organizations with relevant information about and access to resources on violence prevention to build solidarity between organizations working on violence, to strengthen capacity of members on critical issues and methodologies and to advocate for increased interest and investment for gender-based violence prevention in the regions.
