A4ID brings together the legal and development professions to gain maximum impact in achieving the Millennium Development Goals. We do this both by facilitating free legal support for those working to end poverty and by raising awareness of how the law and lawyers can play a role in social and economic development. A4ID provides a service to civil society and developing country governments working to further the United Nations' Millennium Development Goals (MDGs). It facilitates the provision of free legal advice and assistance through a global network of 27,000 lawyers. A4ID also aims to raise awareness of how the law and lawyers can support the MDGs through education, events and publications.
