To provide food parcels to families, living in dire need.

We run a feeding scheme, distributing weekly food parcels to 197 families for whom this often is the only food that they will receive all week. Unfortunately, the need far outstrips the supply, and many families are turned away empty-handed. A Friend in Need continually identifies needs in the local community and try to address them. We currently have a nursery school, catering for 68 children at a minimum charge, and we have recently opened a community library, providing local children with access to information and a place where they can do their homework. We believe that both being, and having friends may have a positive impact on somebody's life.
